Take bath in real Sangam, not the Gross one
2013
is the year of Maha Kumbh at Prayag (Allahabad) in India. Maha Kumbh, which is
billed as largest congregation of humanity on Earth, occurs after every twelve
years, when Jupiter is in Taurus and Sun in Capricorn. On this occasion, every
devout Hindu aspires to take a dip in the Sangam (Confluence) of the rivers
Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati.
A
dip in the Sangam in the auspicious period of Maha Kumbh is believed to wash
out the impact of sins of many births; or even to liberate a person from the cycle
of rebirths.
Is
this belief really true?
Whether a physical act of taking a dip, without any
inner transformation, really so effective? Are there some sublime meanings of
Kumbh and Sangam, which Great saints wanted to convey from this Gross belief and
ritual.
If
you carefully examine ancient Hindu scriptures, you will find that there is
always a bigger picture, hidden meaning or some grand purpose, behind every
Hindu ritual, mythical story and divine symbol.
If you want to know about real Sangam, and how Ida, Pingala and Sushumna Nadis create real Sangam in your own body, go for full version of this eye opening article by Āchary Kalki Krishna, and click to the following link:
