See how an Indian Government Department, on which expenditure of billions is made, is much worse than Astrologers, in deliveries.
A few years back, we had read news about an astrologer from Gujarat,
who was arrested by Police on the charges of creating panic and fear
among general public. What was crime of the poor astrologer? He had
predicted about a possible earthquake. Since, success
rate of his predictions was quite high, people believed on the same and
fled from the city. Due to misfortune of the astrologer and fortune of
public, earthquake did not materialize and the astrologer was arrested
due to obvious reasons.
What if the same phenomenon, albeit at a much larger level, was
created by a Government Department, on whose billions of taxpayers’
money are expended?
Elaborating the matter, we want to draw the attention of our esteemed
members towards an earlier interesting posting on this web page i.e. Meteorology vs. Astrology – Why this hypocrisy by Media.
In that post, we had informed that how ‘Meteorology Department’
of ‘Government of India’ had informed whole of India that Monsoon will
arrive on June 10 and as per prediction of team headed by Āchary Kalki Krishna, the said date was after June 27. However, Monsoon actually
arrived on June 28.
One may ask why we are making such a big issue of monsoon
predictions. The reason is very specific. Despite of high growth in
industrial and service sector, Indian Economy is still agro based. Two
third of Indians depend on Agro income and 65% of Indian agriculture depends on Rains. Rains in India are Monsoon driven, hence, this big issue.
However, the story of Monsoon prediction does not end with the
prediction of date of its arrival. For knowing the actual story, we have
to go through the predictions made by Meteorology Department. They predicted that:
1. The Monsoon will arrive on time,
2. Majority of rains will be in the month of June,
3. The quantum of rains will be less than average. Even drought like situation was predicted;
4. Latter half of August and especially September will be completely dry;
5. Scant or no rains in Western part of India.
Against above prediction of Meteorology Department, which sucks in
billions of taxpayers’ money, what the team headed by Āchary Kalki Krishna did predict? Just see:
1. Rain in totality will be above average.
2. Monsoon will only arrive after 27 June.
3. Majority of rain will occur, while Monsoon will start to return.
4. Good rains will occur in Eastern and Western India.
5. Major rains in the period between August 15 to August 30.
What was the impact of these predictions?
Impact of predictions by Meteorology Department:
1. Prediction of drought created panic like situation all over India;
2. Price of commodities, especially food grains and oil seeds started to touch new heights;
3. Hoarders of these commodities became active creating scarcity like situation;
4. Farmers either did not made any preparations for sowing or if made some sowing, it was made in the months of June and July;
5. Crisis management plan to face the so called drought was implemented in at least 13 states of India;
6. All the states, especially of Western India made huge preparations to
face the so called drought. For example, only Gujarat demanded 1,86,734
millions, a mind boggling figure, from the Central Government for
facing the drought;
7. Some states resorted to unusual means to tackle the crisis of
drought, e.g. State of Karnataka spent 170 Millions in worshiping Rain
God to avoid the so called drought;
8. Four states officially declared themselves in the grip of drought;
9. Funnily, our brethren in the field of astrology also were swayed by
the predictions made by the Meteorology Department. They also started to
hum the same tune. In those days, when we heard a very famous
astrologers telling media that there will be acute drought in North
Western India, It became very difficult for us to hide my grump and
disdain.
Impact of predictions by the team headed by Āchary Kalki Krishna:
As usual, no one took cognizance of the predictions. For obvious
reasons, no one takes seriously the predictions made by astrologers on
mundane affairs, except their entertainment or at best curiosity value.
What actually happened?
1. Very meager rains in June and July. All the sowing made in this
period, heeding the advices of Meteorology Department got wasted. Very
depressing for the farmers;
2. Just when, Meteorology Department started to clap seeing that their
drought predictions have become true, rain Gods thundered and water
started to pour from the sky in the month of August;
3. As predicted by the team headed by Āchary Kalki Krishna, majority of
rains arrived in the period August 15 to August 30. Actually, Hindustan
times dated August 30 reported August this year to be second wettest
August in 12 years;
4. Beyond all expectations and calculations, returning Monsoon, as
already predicted by that team, made a lot of rains, surprising all and
sundry;
5. Out of 36 meteorological sub divisions of India, 23 recorded normal
or more than normal rains. No sub division reported highly deficient
rains;
6. A lot of States, which were ready to face the drought, were caught in surprise by this out-pour;
7. Flood like situations happened in many states, especially from Western India, in which acute drought was predicted;
8. Most pathetic condition was in Gujarat and Rajasthan, where highest
rains in the last decade were recorded. They were caught off guard. Many
lives were gone. A lot of property and assets were destroyed. In many
areas, military has to be enforced to handle calamities and to undertake
rescue operations;
9. There were no preparations for late sowing. All the water went into
empty fields. Farmers are repenting for heeding the advice of
Meteorology Department;
10. While rates of consumer goods were gone high in the expectation of
acute drought, now there is excuse of late rains, no sowing by farmers
to keep the rates at high level;
Against this backdrop, we want to question all the think tanks of
India, had such type of predictions have been made by an Astrologer,
what would have been treatment of society with him?
We want to reiterate here that Astrology is a science, just like
other sciences. Just give it some space; and also some support, so that
it could come out of cheats, frauds and imposters. It is a full time
profession, just like other professions. If you approach a person, who
is pursuing astrology as a hobby or pastime, what will you get is only
half baked knowledge and nothing else.
Before concluding this post, we want to compare the performance of above two:
Performance of ‘Meteorology Department’ of ‘Government of India’:
Times of India reports that predictions of ‘Meteorology Department’
for the years 1994 to 2009 have been analyzed and all have been found
wrong. Hindustan Times reports that in the blast 25 years, its
predictions has gone wrong almost half the time. And this dismal
position is only when it shamelessly revises it predictions innumerable
times, every year.
Performance of the team headed by Āchary Kalki Krishna:
Since 2002, working on the dates for arrival of Monsoon is being done
and results are always better than those provided by Meteorology
Department. In majority of cases, there was not a variance of more than
two days. Even, deadly floods in Kosi River flowing in the Bihar State
were clearly predicted. It was only this time that they tried to give
sanctity to these predictions by their prior release to the media.
However, they are still lacking in providing place specific quantum
of rains, as their predictions are not getting desired results on this
test.
What is way out:
The Government of India and all the concerned departments should
awake to the grim realty on this front and should take help of all the
serious and professional astrologers, who are doing serious research in
the area of Monsoon prediction.

Many a times, when we visit a building, especially residential, owned by a Hindu client, for Vastu audit, a question arises, whether we should place an idol of Ganesha on the back of Main door.
Interestingly, we find same question appearing on the internet in the
queries, especially on the groups related to Astrology and Vastu.
It is obvious lacuna of internet is that all and sundry handle
questions and queries without any authority, qualification and
knowledge.

Since, the learned Astrologer/ Vastu Expert had chosen to respond in

Salutes to Radhaji! The idol of Ganesha should always be installed
towards outer side of the main door facing out side. Tradition or
concept of installing Ganeshji towards inner side of home is
unjustified. OK (sic)
What to say about this valued (?) opinion?
Before making any comment on the above answer, we should see what the classics of Vastu Shastra say on this issue.
We have gone through majority of scriptures on Vaastu and we can
confidently say that no scripture talks about installing idol of
Ganesha, either inside or outside of main door. It may be other thing
that if you consider craps and cookbooks compiled by neo Vastu experts
as Vastu Classic. Even Feng Shui do not prescribe installing any deity
in the manner, we install idol of Ganesha on the main door.
All the Vastu scriptures prescribe decorating main door with the
auspicious symbols, the list of which we can provide on demand.
Then how and why this confusion started?
Actually, it all started when we innocently started to copy design and style of temples in our residential houses.
The unique feature of Hindu temples is that whatever may be the
presiding deity of temple, idol of Ganesha is installed on the main door
on the outer side. Why this practice? Just because, Ganesha is Pratham Poojya (To be worshiped first).
So, when you are entering in the sanctum sanctorum for worshiping
presiding deity, you face Ganesha, whom you have to worship first,
before paying obeisance to the presiding deity of the temple.
In this way, the great Ganesha was really honored. However, what we
have done to him in our houses and buildings. He is installed like a
guard outside his house. We are not Gods and Goddesses and our homes ate
not temples in real sense. Actually, we are humiliating and showing
disrespect to Great God Ganesha by installing him outside our buildings,
like a guard.
Vastu also interprets this practice in another way. When Lord Ganesha
is installed outside your main gate, his back is towards our home and
his auspicious gaze is towards outside. This is far from what is desired
by us.
So, what is suggested that install another Ganesha towards inner side
of the main door, from where he will give his blessings towards our
home and show his back towards outer side.
What an ingenious way to create balance? After all this is life.
So, just avoid the suggestion given by so called Astrologist/ Vaastu
Expert and preferably do not install Lord Ganesha outside your house,
unless you consider yourself as God or incarnation of some God/ Goddess.
And, if you want to install a Ganesha idol outside your house, compelled by the prevailing tradition, balance in the way described above.

Best Deep[awali/ Diwali Pooja Time/ Muhurta 2012
There are
diverse views about choosing proper time for Diwali/ Dipawali Pooja. The most
popular is to perform this auspicious act in the Sthir Lagnas (Fixed
Ascendants), provided it is in ‘Amavasya’ Tithi.. The reason for choosing Sthir
Lagna (Fixed Ascendant), as explained in my earlier posts, is the belief that Pooja done in Sthir Lagna will stabilize

on this date is for the period 07:13 AM on November 13, 2012 to 03:37 AM of November

There are four
Sthira Lagnas (Fixed Ascendants) in all i.e. Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius.

Anna Hazare proves validity of Astrology
You are a surgeon
and going to operate upon a hardcore criminal, proven enemy of the whole
humanity. Without your intervention, he will certainly die. In another case, you
have to operate upon a most loved and revered saint.
The question is
whether there will be any change in your attitude, while operating upon these
two very different persons. If you are a true professional, you will handle
both the cases in then same manner, but sometimes it becomes very difficult to
maintain such a professional integrity.
This dilemma
came before me last year when I was analyzing Anna Hazare movement last year.
You might
recollect that Anna was arrested last year on August 16 and was in Tihar Jail,
Delhi up to August 20. Apparently being an anti corruption movement, all my
sympathies and sentiments were with him and his movement.
However, when analyzing
his movement professionally from an astrologer’s perspective, I could not allow
my sentiments to color my analysis. More difficult thing was to write something
not only against the feelings of general public, but also against the showers of
predictions from so-called astrologers, without any justification or logic.

Tough days
ahead for Central government, especially up to September 9. The Govt. should
handle Anna Team in a very conscious and restrained way; and try to
stretch their negotiations and discussions beyond that date. In the same way, the

Now, after a
year, what you can see is the shadow of the earlier Anna Hazare, going to
plunge into the pool of politics.
However, the
events have put up the stamp of validity on the Science of Astrology.
Sometimes, you
hope that your predictions do not come true. It was a case for me like that.
Unfortunately, predictions came true.
At this time, I
fondly remember brilliant analysis done by Shri Nitin Kashyap, lecturer at ICAS
Delhi on the birth details of Anna Hazare, with the help of Varga guidelines
promoted by Shri Shankar Nath Kapoor, President, ICAS International Wing. All
the analysis by Shri Nitin Kashyap came true with passage of time.
Meteorology vs. Astrology – Why this hypocrisy by Media
Wikipedia defines Meteorology as
the interdisciplinary scientific study of the atmosphere. In simple terms, this
is the science of assessing weather, especially its changes.
Further, you can find Department
of Meteorology in every country, who assess weather of that country and informs
public for their welfare. India also has such a Department, whose role becomes
more important in view of our dependence on Monsoon. Equipped with the power of
Super Computers and Satellites, they are supposed to give reasonably accurate
forecast about the rains.
Actually, what happens? Just like
earlier years, this year also Indian Meteorology Department has issued at least
twenty forecasts about the arrival of Monsoon, every time repudiating earlier
forecast. No reason that Indian Public takes forecasts made by Meteorology Department,
more of a joke instead of taking as
useful and reliable information. We are yet to hear a forecast from this
Department, which will actually come into reality.
As far as forecast of monsoon is
concerned, there is another competitor of Meteorology Department. This is not a
Government Department. Actually, Government has nothing to do with it. This is
the Science of Astrology. Many might object the use of word ‘Science’ with
Astrology, but what to do? I also want to object using this word with
Meteorology, keeping in view their performance.
There is a great tradition of
weather forecast in a specific branch of Astrology, called ‘Mundane Astrology’.
A lengthy and detailed system, which if followed, is supposed to give you the
clear-cut picture of upcoming Monsoon. Monsoon forecasting in the ‘Mundane
Astrology’ involves some simple exercises like making and analyzing horoscope
at the time of transit of Sun at a particular degree (occurring normally on
21-22 June as per Indian Astrology); and some not so simple exercises like
deciding pregnancy of clouds by observing the whole environment daily and
noting down even minor changes.
And all this labor for what?
Environment of each day decides what will happen exactly after six and half
months. Therefore, if you want forecast Monsoon accurately, then you will have
to start all this sky gazing at least six and half months back. Whoosh!
Being an Astrologer having acute
interest in ‘Mundane Astrology’, but not wanting to make a lot of expenditure
on Sun Screen Lotions, I preferred easier options and thought that I may settle
with not so accurate predictions.
Since 2002, I am working on the
dates for arrival of Monsoon and to my amazement; results were always much much
better than those provided by Meteorology Department were. In majority of
cases, there was not a variance of more than two days. Even, deadly floods in
Kosi River flowing in the Bihar State were clearly predicted.
There is a general allegation
against the astrological predictions that they are made in very vague manner,
latter to be interpreted in a desirable way. So, what we did this year. My
friend, Nadeem Naqvi prepared a press release regarding Monsoon, on the basis
of Email sent to him by me. In the Press Release, which was apparently sent to
all Media houses, it was clearly earmarked that ‘Monsoon will only arrive after
27th June’.
What happened really? The great
scientists of Meteorology Department had predicted that Monsoon will arrive on
10th June. Just guess the date of arrival of Monsoon. Whether it
arrived on 10th June, 15th June, 20th June or
30th June? Just guess; make a wild guess.
Actually, Monsoon arrived on 28th
June. Forecast was 100% accurate. Should
I celebrate and laugh? No, actually I am weeping and worried about my
contribution as an Indian Citizen, in the billions of Rupees being spent on Meteorology
Department. I think they should refund me my share in this expenditure. What is
your opinion?
Whether I am reincarnation of
Paul, the late octopus; or just borrowed some special powers from that famous
Baba, who comes on TV. Nothing like these, I just prepared a horoscope as
described above and did some
calculations on the basis of planetary interrelationships and movements; and lo!
I got the date. So simple.
The story does not end here. All
the media houses, to whom the press release was forwarded, preferred to ignore
and overlook above predictions. Had this forecast been made by Meteorology Department
after spending billions of Rupees, it would have grabbed Headlines or no one
knows, probably it would have made breaking news.
Since forecast was made by an
astrologer; since it was based on astrological principles; since not even a
penny of Government or public was spent on it; it was not worth even mentioning.
Why this hypocrisy on the part of media? Whom they are afraid to?
Now, an information on a serious
note. I am working on a Monsoon Forecast Module, which will be able to forecast
dates and quantum of Monsoon, initially state wise and at a later stage, city
wise. It is my guesstimate that throughout India, at least five hundred
astrologers are seriously working on the Monsoon Forecast. I request all these
great scientists to come under an umbrella, in the interest of nation and
humanity.
This is a mammoth exercise, which
will require a lot of time, efforts and money. I also propose that ‘AHWAAN’ (Association for Human Welfare And Awakening the Nation), a Public
Charitable Trust, promoted by me, will bear the expenses in preparing such a
module, until we are able to get substantial funds from any source.
There is
nothing greater than HOPE. So, I am hoping and what about you?
